About

[ENG] Nicolò Tempesta (born June 24, 2002) is a director and screenwriter from Chieti, currently residing in Terlizzi (BA). He developed a deep passion for cinema at a young age, leading him to experiment with various forms of the seventh art. His first short film was produced in 2019 for the 'Angelo Alfonso Mezzina' competition, while subsequent works can be found on his YouTube channel. His second endeavor was the short film titled 'Un pomeriggio qualunque' (A Casual Afternoon) in 2020, but his first true experimentation came two years later with the animated short 'Met,' inspired by David Lynch. In 2023, he shot the short silent film 'La persistenza della morte' (The Persistence of Death) on Super 8mm film, telling a noir story and seeking to emulate the masters of cinema history like Hitchcock. After this complex challenge, he proposed the same crew to produce a more introspective and complete short film, giving life to 'Portare fuori la spazzatura' (Take the rubbish out), for which Nicolò Tempesta co-wrote the screenplay with his friend Lorenzo de Donato.
