Mariya Porotikova
About
Maria Porotikova is a director and screenwriter. Her debut short film, Syndrome, was selected for six international film festivals and won Best Short Film at the EdiPlay International Film Festival in France. Her second short film, The Best Role, which she wrote and directed, became a finalist at the Zilant and Krylaty Bars film festivals in Kazan, Russia. Maria studied theatre and film directing and screenwriting at the Insight Studio and completed the Filmmaking course at The One Film film school under the mentorship of director Kostas Marsaan. Her filmography also includes video poetry inspired by the works of Joseph Brodsky and Svetlana Bondar.
