About
Gemma is an award winning director, animator and screenwriter. Gemma's writing credits include Stephen King's Mute, recipient of the Alfred Hitchcock Production Award and the acclaimed drama The Constant Father, nominated for two best screenplay awards. Gemma moved into directing stop motion animation only recently and has since won 3 awards for her first 2 animations in the Hoe Street series. Hoe Street: Amphibians won Best International Film at Mister Vorky Festival in Serbia (June 2018). Hoe Street: Sharon won: "Shorty" award at CICFF 2020 "Best Original Content" Amazon Prime's Short Film Show festival (April 2019). Both films are now being distributed by multi-Academy Award® winners Aardman Animations Ltd.
