Giorgos Alexakis is a visual artist and graduate from the Fine Arts School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. Having an extensive background in painting, photography, video art and installations together with his experience as scenic designer and set painter at the State Theater of Northern Greece, he is making his first steps at film direction and cinematography. His vision aims to incorporate anthropocentric and self-referential approaches and ideas based on the human condition and experience through the portrayal of real life characters and how these interact with the contemporary world, thus creating fragmented narratives which evolve in microcosmic cells that help to augment the contrast between the individual and the masses.
