Filmmaker's Note
I originally wrote The Ballad of a Haunted Man as a short play which had some success, and I then turned it into a film script. It's predominately a horror/thriller with a love story theme running through it. Shane, who plays the lead, Daniel, approached the role with both affection and understanding towards his character, which I believe comes through in his performance and really lifts the film into something both disturbing yet strangely sympathetic.
