NOT A SOUND
Synopsis
Four teenagers are confined to their apartment while unknown creatures roam the streets of Moscow. Each morning, the radio reassures them that the quarantine will soon end, as long as they remain invisible and silent. They follow the rules. They do not approach the windows. They do not open the door. Until one day, someone knocks. The voice on the other side claims to be their father – and disappears the same instant. Faced with the possibility that the world outside is not what they were told, the teenagers must decide whether to remain protected by fear or step into the unknown.

About the filmmaker
Aleksandra is a trilingual director, writer and former cello player who dislikes writing polite introductions but keeps doing them anyway. Split between Spain and Russia since childhood, she writes about displacement and the fractures of the human soul. Whether that preserves her sanity remains uncertain, but she suspects it doesn’t hurt.
