Filmmaker's Note
My name is Camelia Cazan, I am a Romanian citizen and I've been living in Scotland for the past 3 years. I am a film director and writer, passionate about dramatic stories that engage the audience’s imagination and sense of reality, but also their soft spots. I like to explore everyday feelings, what they mean and where they come from and always end in a sense of progress, purpose or surprise. I recently completed my first feature film, Good To Be Back and I was immediately compelled to make Monday, which I call a foem (a film adaptation of a poem). So I gathered a talented cast and crew that I trusted, we made it happen and here it is, I hope you like it. I also produced a couple of sci-fi short films directed by another director, both are now in post-production. As a job, I freelance in TV assisting research on documentaries for different channels across the UK and USA, such as BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Smithsonian and others. Thank you for your consideration!
