Alice and the Big Screen

Synopsis

When she starts sixth grade, Alicia (11) begins taking a film workshop at school where she learns the techniques of audiovisual storytelling. To complete her assignments, she asks her grandmother, Elvira (75) for help; Elvira has a large collection of film reels because she used to own a movie theater. Using her grandmother’s old projector, Alicia discovers she can travel through time and be transported backstage to the movie currently playing in the projector.
