Simply head over to the submit tab on this website and submit your film Via Film-Freeway. Not every film that gets submitted will get selected for the show. We review every film that gets submitted for its suitability for making it into the show.
The 2019 series will be shown on Sky and Amazon Prime. Details to follow shortly.
We accept films up to 10 Minutes in length. This is due to breaks for commercial advertising.
Yes, but only after 14 days. After your film has been selected each show gets planned with your film in it. Removing a film means a whole episode would have to be re-planned and re-shot provided it hasn’t been sent to transmission or gone out on air. Only upload your film if you are 100% happy that it’s finished.
The Short Film Show is currently shown in the UK on Sky Channel 212 in up to 14 million homes. It is also streamed on ShowcaseTV web player at the time of broadcast.
The Short Film Show is also available via Amazon Prime in the UK, USA and Australia. We are working with more broadcasters to bring The Short Film Show to other countries worldwide.
No. Only submit your film if you are 100% happy that it is complete and you have the authority to submit it. You have a 14 day period in which to cancel, after this point your film will automatically be entered.
Yes, but if it is not in English it needs to have English subtitles burnt in. You must also supply a clean version with a.srt subs file.
Yes, provided they are in English
If your short film is successful and makes it in to the programme, you will be notified via email by one of the production team. You remain the owner and rights holder of your content. No payments will be made to use your content which is fully explained in the release form.
All video files must be at least HD 720p and preferably with stereo or 5.1 audio. The best files for us are .MP4 or .MOV H.264 or ProRes 422. Important – file sizes should be UNDER 10GB.
Yes. Once you have submitted your first film, head to your account page where you will find the option to add another film.
Yes. All files are stored securely which only our production team will be able to view until broadcast.
No problem, as long as you have not entered into any exclusivity deals with the festivals.
No. The film submitted should be in its original entirety.
