What we are after
We are after short films up to 10 minutes long. Good stories are always a good start, especially the true ones. Documentaries are good too, as long as they are not advertising a service or product. We are also looking for animations, comedies and action. Indeed we are totally open to the types of films we show as long as they are in English or have English subtitles.
You will receive an automated email confirming your short film has been upload. Every submission gets reviewed and you will be contacted by one of our production team if your entry has been successful in making it into the Short film show. The Short Film Show is made by filmmakers for filmmakers, so we know the importance of distributing short films to the right audience.
There is a vast array of short films, many of which are award winning and produced from budgets varying from nothing to £100k plus. They have often been financed through a whole host of means including crowd-funding and involve the creative talents of cast and crew all driven by one thing… passion, a passion to produce something that can be shared and enjoyed with others not just locally but worldwide.
Short films come in all shapes and sizes and their duration can be anything from 30 seconds to 30 minutes involving captivating storylines and superb photography. Some make it the local cinema for audiences of a few hundred before being transferred to platforms such as YouTube and Vimeo. While sitting gathering viral dust on these servers and being buried beneath copious amount of less ambitious efforts, they may have at least pushed their producer’s up another rung on their career ladder.
But short film makers are continually seeking meaningful outlets for their work and we feel this is where The Short Film Show comes in. Upload your work today.
